Recovery Is Half the Journey
At MedHub China, we tell every patient the same thing: the surgery is 40% of the process. Recovery is the other 60%. How well you rest, eat, move, and follow your post-op plan directly determines your final result.
Here's your week-by-week roadmap to a smooth recovery in China.
Week 1: The Most Important 7 Days
*Days 1–2: Immediate Post-Op*
You'll wake from anesthesia in a private recovery suite. A nurse and your MedHub coordinator will both be present. Expect:
Your coordinator will visit twice daily to check comfort levels and communicate with nursing staff.
*Days 3–5: Early Healing*
Swelling and bruising peak around Day 3 — this is normal and expected. Do not be alarmed by your appearance. This is your body doing exactly what it should.

*Days 6–7: First Follow-Up*
Your surgeon will review your initial healing, remove any temporary sutures or dressings, and provide a revised post-op instruction pack for the weeks ahead.
Week 2: Gaining Confidence
By Day 10, most patients with facial procedures are presentable in public with light concealer. Body contouring patients may still have visible compression garment outlines under clothing.
What to expect:
Your MedHub team will begin discharge planning: reviewing your travel fitness, preparing medical documentation, and briefing your home country doctor on your care plan.
Week 3: Preparing to Fly Home
Most patients are cleared to fly by Day 14–18. Before departure, you'll receive:
