A Journey Born From
Personal Experience
In 2017, our founder Mr. Shen Ou watched a close friend — a French expat living in Hong Kong — struggle through the process of seeking cosmetic surgery in Mainland China. Despite being just across the border from some of the world's most skilled aesthetic surgeons, the language barrier, unfamiliar hospital system, and lack of reliable guidance made the experience overwhelming.
That experience was the spark. Mr. Shen Ou, with a background from a world-class international business school and years of management experience in China's leading healthcare organizations, began informally connecting expatriates and foreign nationals with outstanding surgeons and medical specialists in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The results were profoundly transformative — not just physically, but in how patients genuinely felt throughout the entire journey of seeking medical care in China.
By 2026, MedHub China (明德医汇) was formally established in Shenzhen with a founding team of six: a surgeon, a medical school lecturer, two medical interpreters, a travel concierge, and a patient care coordinator. The mission was clear from day one — to introduce the world to China's finest medical talent.
Today, we serve patients from over 47 countries. Our team has grown to 38 full-time staff across three cities, and our network of verified surgeons continues to expand — always guided by the same original commitment to safety, transparency, and genuine human care.

Shen Ou founded MedHub China in 2026 after personally witnessing a close friend — a French expat in Hong Kong — struggle to navigate China's medical system without language support or reliable guidance. That moment became his mission.
Shen Ou holds an MBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Prior to founding MedHub China, he spent ten years in executive management roles at two of China's largest private medical equipment distributors, where he built deep networks across top-tier surgical and specialist teams in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
Under his leadership, MedHub China has grown from an informal referral network to a full-service medical concierge platform serving patients from 47+ countries. Shen Ou believes that the true measure of success is not the number of procedures booked — but whether each patient feels genuinely safe, understood, and cared for throughout their entire journey.

Founder Dr. Linda Chen informally begins connecting foreign patients with trusted surgeons in Beijing and Shanghai after witnessing a close friend struggle with the process alone.
MedHub China is Founded
Formally incorporated in Guangzhou with a founding team of five. First official patients onboarded — from France, Australia, and the UAE.
First 100 Patients
Reached the milestone of 100 international patients served across Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Launched the structured Doctor Matching Program.
Shanghai Office Opens
Opened our second city office in Shanghai, adding Sophia Müller as Head of Patient Experience. Expanded into Japanese and Korean language support.
Navigating the Pandemic
When COVID-19 halted travel, we pivoted to remote consultation services and built a robust telehealth follow-up system that became a permanent part of our process.
Beijing Office & Hospital Network Expands
Beijing presence established with Dr. Marcus Wei joining as CMO. Hospital partner network grew to 12 AAA-grade institutions across three cities.
1,000 Patients Milestone
Celebrated serving 1,000 international patients — from 31 countries. Launched Arabic and Russian language services. Team grew to 24 full-time staff.
